Sophie Pedlar is an emerging actor, she is based in West Yorkshire and she's currently studying at Leeds City College for an Extended Diploma in Acting. Sophie has a passion for stage and screen acting, it has always been her dream to succeed and win awards. Her love for this industry started when she was 10 years old and ever since then it has flourished into her specialism, which she adores and chooses for this to be her path in life.
She has had 7 years of training in her drama group, where she did 3 shows a year, some being; Unsinkable, Unthinkable (2018), Secrets (2018), Black and White (2019), Boy Weevil the Musical (2020), Jolly Hockey Sticks (2023) and many more. Sophie has also done some scare actor work at The Great Escape Game Leeds, which involved a 3 day scare attraction as well as a press night. Other projects Sophie has participated in are Scuttlers (Rona Munro), Dahling You Were Marvellous (Steven Berkoff) and A Caravan Named Desire (Alexander Millington), which have all been set on stage, following a script. She has also took part in I'm Better Than You, a devised piece that was based around the mockery of influencers, like the Kardashians, in a multimedia performance. "Is this a fling to you?" was written, directed and edited by Sophie, which she also starred in. The attachment for this films trailer can be seen below.
Specific skills Sophie has as an actor contain teamwork, improvisation, devising, singing, both Yorkshire and Russian accents, speaking fluently in English as well as a full driving licence.
